James (the apostle) wrote the most brilliant thought ever written on the topic of conflict and why we have conflict in our relationships. And he shows us very clearly that the biggest enemy we have in conflict is ourselves. Yet this talk is encouraging as it helps us know how we allow proper desires to become evil. It ends with some applicational questions that you can ask yourself to improve every relational conflict in your life.

Where are relationships - there is conflict. Why is that? David introduces this series by emphasizing the point that relationships are messy because sinful people tend to respond sinfully when sinned against. Until we learn not to respond in ways that come natural, we will continue to be in conflict in relationships. This sermon begins to reveal God’s path for relational success.
